M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
Computer science and engineering as a field, discipline and area of specialization, plays a critical role in all aspects of our lives in the current scenario. There is a great demand for qualified computer science and engineering professionals worldwide.
The M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering at GNIOT is a highly advanced post graduate qualification designed to build a background in science and technology. The duration of the course is two years, full time.
Eligibility
Candidates must have B.E/B.Tech (60% or equivalent CGPA) in Computer Science/ Information Technology/CSE/CS & IT/MCA degree from a recognized university.
M.Tech. in VLSI Design
Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) Circuit Design is the process of designing a large computer chip (more specifically, an integrated circuit, or IC), using computer-aided design (CAD) tools on a workstation or a personal computer (PC). The course demands learning the principles of VLSI design, designing and fabricating the state of-the-art VLSI chips, understanding the complete design flow and expertise to design CMOS chips for industrial requirements.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed B.E/ B.Tech. in their respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
M.Tech in Civil Engineering
Master of Technology or M.Tech. Civil Engineering is a 2 year postgraduate technical program which deals with designing, supervision and construction activities of public works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc. and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities. It is awarded after two years specialization program in Civil Engineering. These two years are further divided into two semesters each. Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in 2001 and accredited by NBA in 2008 for its compliance with standards of academic quality and infrastructure-based education. The department has a four-year B.Tech program with an intake of 180. The department also offers a two-year M.Tech program with an intake of 18. The department has a group of highly qualified dedicated faculty to provide value-based education and training for students to sustain in a highly demanding technical world.
The department has undertaken many research projects and FDPs funded by university/government agencies. The department also has numerous research publications in various national and international journals.
The Computer Science & Engineering Department has also developed in-house labs and trainers, certified by the industries to cater to the need for training and various certifications like CEH, MOS, MTA, Java, Oracle, etc. The advanced curriculum encompasses a variety of topics relating to computation, ranging from abstract analysis of algorithms and formal grammar to subjects like programming languages, software, artificial intelligence, soft computing, and computer hardware which prepares students for career opportunities in different areas such as software development, software testing, web designing, computer communications and networking, ethical hacking etc. The department has an excellent placement record of accomplishment with high salary packages.
