Oriental Institute of Science & Technology (OIST), Bhopal organised a Faculty Training Program on AI Innovations to promote awareness and practical understanding of emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies among faculty members.
The programme was hosted by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Cell in association with the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. It focused on the rapidly developing field of Generative AI and Agentic AI Tools, providing an opportunity for educators to understand their applications and relevance in the modern education ecosystem.
Focus on Generative AI and Agentic AI
The central focus of the training programme was “Applications of Generative AI and Agentic AI Tools.”
Generative AI is transforming the way content, information and digital solutions are created, while Agentic AI represents a growing area of AI systems capable of assisting with complex tasks and workflows.
The programme aimed to help faculty members become more familiar with these emerging technologies and their potential applications in teaching, learning, innovation and academic activities.
India AI Impact Pre-Summit 2026
The training programme was conducted under the India AI Impact Pre-Summit 2026 initiative of AICTE and MIC, Government of India.
This connection placed the faculty training within a broader national focus on Artificial Intelligence, innovation and technology adoption. It also encouraged educators to remain updated with the latest developments in AI and explore their potential impact on education.
