Course Eligibility : Minimum Grades for Completing Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in 10+2.
MBBS admission 2026 is based on the NEET UG exam conducted by NTA, which is the only entrance exam for government, private, and deemed to be top Medical colleges. All aspirants need to register, qualify, or obtain the required cutoff, and participate in the counselling process. MCC will handle the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, and the state authority will handle state quota admissions.
The top MBBS colleges are AIIMS New Delhi, VMMC New Delhi, and CMC Vellore. India has a total of 2441 medical colleges, out of which 682 offer MBBS courses. Out of a total of 682 colleges that offer MBBS Courses, there are 316 Private Colleges and 350 Colleges that are Government. The average fee of the top 10 Medical Colleges in India varies between INR 7.6 K and INR 2.90 lakh.

MBBS Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
The following are the specific requirements for admission to the MBBS program in 2026:
Candidates must have completed 10+2 coursework in English, physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology.
If a candidate is in the General category, they must receive at least 50% of the possible points.
Candidates who fall into the OBC, SC, or ST categories must receive an aggregate score of at least 40%.
By December 31, 2026, candidates must be at least 17 years old.
Candidates applying for MBBS are not limited in age.
